CPC Certification

The ACSESS Certified Personnel Consultant (CPC) Program

Professional credentialing is a statement to the business community and the clients that we serve, and it is important that the ACSESS Certification program represents the provision of quality services by staffing industry professionals who hold the CPC designation.

The Certified Personnel Consultant (CPC) program offers staffing professionals an opportunity to attend industry-specific workshops on 5 core course modules. These half-day sessions are hosted in cities across Canada based on member demand.

Basic eligibility requirements to participate in the sessions are:

  • A minimum of one year's experience in the staffing services and direct hire/professional search industry
  • Current ownership or employment in the staffing services and direct hire/professional search industry

The Certified Personnel Consultant (CPC) modules were developed in 2003/04 by a group of Canadian professors and have been continuously updated and improved by industry experts. All modules are designed to include required knowledge as well as open dialogue on participant and instructor experiences.

Effective July 2010 ACSESS exemption policies and knowledge requirements to complete the Certified Personnel Consultant (CPC) program was enhanced to reflect improvements adopted in the U.S. Other program improvements currently being explored include webinars and other opportunities to make this important program easily available to members in all regions of Canada.

Following completion of the required number of modules, the final step in attaining the Certified Personnel Consultant (CPC) designation is successful completion of the national examination which can be written in locations across the country. There is no study guide for the examination which is a culmination of student knowledge acquired through attendance at Certified Personnel Consultant (CPC) workshops and prior industry experience. Please note: that to write the examination, a candidate must have successfully completed the on-line Level 1 Test.
