Welcome to the ACSESS Newsletter – Fall 2025 Edition

By aligning your company with ACSESS, you’ve joined a community of peers representing the very best in staffing, recruiting, and workforce solutions across Canada.

Since our June 2025 newsletter, ACSESS has continued to amplify the staffing industry’s voice on key policy issues in multiple provinces. We’ve actively represented our members on several public policy fronts, including industry licensing, rate reform consultations, pay transparency, employment standards, and federal procurement. A major focus has been educating members on new licensing requirements for staffing and recruitment firms, while working closely with government to address areas of the framework that require further refinement. Our commitment to building strong relationships with key government officials remains a national priority.

Looking ahead, ACSESS’s strategic plan through 2028 positions the Canadian staffing, professional services, and recruitment sector as a driving force in workforce innovation, economic growth, and public policy development. Our priorities are reflected in the following pillars:

  • Government Relations & Public Policy Advocacy – Strengthening influence at both provincial and federal levels, providing input on employment legislation and regulations, and collaborating with government on initiatives that impact our industry.
  • Thought Leadership – Advancing industry knowledge through expert submissions, white papers, and multidisciplinary engagement.
  • Industry Promotion – Elevating awareness of the sector’s value among stakeholders.
  • Proactive Health & Safety – Enhancing workplace safety through targeted programs and partnerships.
  • Market Intelligence – Delivering research, data analytics, and sector-specific insights.
  • Training & Education – Continuing the Certified Personnel Consultant (CPC) designation with a redesigned curriculum that reflects the evolving business landscape, alongside legal and legislative education sessions.
  • Chapters & Member Recruitment – Supporting provincial chapters to expand grassroots services and welcoming new members nationwide.
  • Global Engagement – Hosting the International World of Work Conference in 2026 in partnership with the World Employment Confederation.

Given the unique nature of staffing and recruitment in Canada, our advocacy efforts remain focused on ensuring employment laws support operational flexibility and do not impose unnecessary costs that could hinder labour market responsiveness.

Thanks to the incredible support of our chapter leaders, ACSESS recently welcomed over 400 staffing and recruitment firms to educational sessions in Ontario and Quebec, with plans to expand these offerings to western provinces in the coming months.

Our membership committee continues to drive recruitment initiatives across the country. We’re proud to continue to represent over 85% of industry operating revenues nationally and to have welcomed more than 50 new corporate and affiliate members in 2025.

On behalf of ACSESS, I want to extend my thanks to our staff and all our dedicated volunteers—national, chapter, and committee leaders—for your ongoing leadership and support.

Executive Director, Government Relations / Directrice Générale
